PDF file templates made in this module can be used to create personalized documents, such as:

• tickets or ID badges attached to registration confirmation messages or confirmations of transactions,
• invitations or certificates attached to Mailings,
• other documents that need to be personalized and mailed to attendees or generated as an aggregate PDF file to be printed out.

Edit PDF template

This tab features a number of options you can use to create a PDF file template that can be used for further personalization:

• The field Name contains the name of the PDF template you are currently editing.
• The checkbox labeled Use this template for printout at Reception Desk lets you select the template you wish to use to print out ID badges at the reception desk (provided you want to print out anything at the reception desk).
• The field PDF files with template background offers a selection of previously added PDF template backgrounds. Every PDF templte can be based on an existing background file. This allows for easy creation of high quality documents and precise placement of variable elements in relation to the background.
• To upload a new PDF background file, use the add background button.
• Use the Grid size selector to display a layer of semitransparent lines that will help you position the elements on the background.
• Remember to Save the template you have created.
• The largest part of this interface is the template editor itself.
• The Variable tags panel contains a categorized list of buttons that place tags in the editor. Clicking one of the tag buttons will put the tag in the top left corner of the editor. 
• You can then drag and drop the element to position it. If you place the mouse pointer over the tag, two icons will appear:
  - - remove this tag from the template,
  - - open a modal window with tag parameters.

Upon saving a new template, a new line will appear in the Saved Templates tab.
